Vagrant SRD - Playtest 00 - Pennants & Respite

Playtest 00 explores a supplemental mechanic that can be used in either a TTRPG or Video Game setting.

It gives designers the tools to build more challenging encounters for their players, while also providing them with the ability to triumph over seemingly insurmountable odds.

Pennants & Respite provide players with a "corpse-run" mechanic that improves their capacity for success with each, failed attempt. It will boost their stats in a prescriptive, predictable way, providing them with a slight bonus AND the time and space to enjoy their eventual success.
